Woodford Folk Festival Celebrates 25 Years With Fantastic Line Up

The Woodford Folk Festival is an event of international standing. Held over six days and six nights it presents more than 2000 performers and 400 events with concerts, dances, workshops, forums, street theatre, writers' panels, film festival, comedy sessions, acoustic jams, social dialogue and debate, an entire children's festival, art and craft workshops, late night cabarets and special events including a spectacular fire event.

This year the Queensland Folk Federation's festival organising commmittww at Woodford has announced a huge programme to mark their quarter century.

25 years on is a a bit scary for some of us who attended the festival (Maleney as it then was then)  during its first few years and numerous time since! Many happy memories of sloshing around in the mud  but with a pretty sophisticated village fayre type set-up it might get  bit muddy with rain out in the camping areas still but the venues are certainly weather proof.

If you've never been this is really the year to get along. With four little kids these days it is very child friendly too, although go prepared for some very hot weather if you have littlies.
